One of the most frustrating things that homebuyers experience is confusion in the process of deciding what they want in a home. Most times this experience is due to the lack of actually sitting down together and discussing what they want before they start looking.
When I first meet my clients, I sit down with them and talk with them about the homebuying process and fine out what their needs and wants are. I try to put them at ease and allow them to focus on what is in their mind and help them reveal that to allow me to better serve them. With a few questions and follow-up questions to their answers, I am able to assist them in developing their preferences about the home they want to buy. It is a process that is important enough for them to devote some time to, since it is one of the largest purchases of their lives and one that they will be living with for some time!
When we complete this first session, my clients are very pleased that they know more about what they are looking for and that I am better prepared to assist them in the entire process from start to finish. We know what we expect of each other and how we can best work together to make this a win-win for everyone involved.
